TAMIU (2-2, 2-2) trailed by four runs in the third inning after three hits from the Falcons. Demetrius Deramus's doubled into left field paired with Alden Quintanilla's and Braedon Dyke's single.
Dust Devils responded with four runs of their own in the third with a grand slam by junior Eddie Saenz; scoring Isaac Stanwick, Ciro Benavides, and Saul Soto with his second home run of the season.
William Boucher held the mound for 8.0 innings of play, limiting the Falcons to only four runs and seven hits in the ball game with two strikeouts.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Dust Devils added six more runs on the board coming off four hits, three of which were RBI doubles by Ciro Benavides, Eddie Saenz, and Isaac Stanwick.
UTPB (1-3,1-3) collected seven hits in the game while also bringing in four different pitchers to stop the Dust Devils' bats.
