TAMIU (9-9) built an early 4-0 lead in the first, off five walks, and two hit-by-pitch's causing two Eagle mound substitutions.
Oklahoma Christian (6-12) responded immediately with Justin Spencer and Cole Rager both collecting RBI base hits to only trail by two. After two innings, the Eagles only trailed by one when Elijah Laus got on base with a double, and Trey Migl brought him home with an RBI single.
Dustdevils in the fourth responded with RBI base hits from Derek Garcia, Saul Soto, and Tristan Cavazos, plus a sac fly from Tristian Garcia built the lead to 8-3.
Dustdevils after scoring one run in the fifth, four more runs scored in the sixth, with two reaching on fielding errors and a two RBI single from Saul Soto extended the lead 13-3.
Eagles brought in two runs in the seventh with a wild pitch scoring Hank Heiselbetz, and a fly out bringing in Trey Migl.
Dustdevils scored their final three runs of the game in the eighth with an RBI double by Tristan Cavazos and two runners reaching home on errors.
