PHOENIX, ARIZONA – Texas A&M International Women's Head Coach Casey Fowler got the opportunity to speak at the annual WBCA Convention in conjunction with the NCAA Final Four.
The Women's Basketball Coaches Association hosted their annual convention April 2nd through April 5th in Phoenix, gathering hundreds of viewers each day.
Coaches from all over the country from High School to the Collegiate level were selected by the convention to present their perfect practice plan.
Three round table sessions were held each day allowing coaches 30 minutes to discuss and display their perfect practice plan for other coaches and media.
Head Coach Casey Fowler spoke for a total of 105 minutes with coaching personnel and media asking numerous questions about his practice plan and how it's organized to develop success in the game.
"This is the first time I have attended the WBCA Convention as a speaker, and I'm really honored to be selected to speak at such an event. This is huge for our program; I even had individuals ask to come and see our practice. Events like these are great for networking and showing the country what were capable of at TAMIU."
Coach Fowler was joined by several other coaches from the Lone Star Conference with TAMU Kingsville's Michael Madrid and Lubbock Christian's Steve Gomez getting an opportunity to speak.
Coach Fowler lead the Dustdevils to a 12-14 record winning seven of eight games in the month of January, leading the Dustdevils to their best season since 2023.
