Espinal played for Iowa Central Community College for 2 years, where he earned his Associates Degree.
High School: Muscatine High School (2012)
At Muscatine High School, Espinal lettered in Football for (1) year, Soccer for (2) years as a Center Midfielder.  While at Muscatine, Espinal was named MVP for his soccer team for (1) year, All-Conference team for (3) years, All-State (1) year, and All-Region (2) years.
Club Soccer: Eastern Iowa United
Espinal played for Eastern Iowa United for 3 years, where he won the state cup tournament, the Dubuque, Iowa tournament, and Kalamazoo.
Personal:
Espinal is the son of Sobieda, and Juan Espinal. He is a sibling to Minerva Espinal. Espinal chose to attend TAMIU because of the family like atmosphere the University brings. His most inspirational figure is Lionel Messi. His future aspirations include working for a soccer academy as a strength and conditioning specialist, and opening his own business to work with young athletes. In his spare time, he enjoys playing indoor soccer, basketball, fishing, swimming, and spending time with friends.
