2019:

Before the season, Smith was tabbed to the 2019 Preseason All-Heartland Conference Team...While starting in all 58 games this season, Smith put together a slash line of .287/.325/.421...She had career highs in runs (33), hits (56), RBI (27) and led the team in stolen bases (17)...Smith put together 14 multi-hit games including four games which she tallied a trio of hits...Went 3-for-4 with a run in a 6-5 victory on the road over No. 5 ranked Texas A&M-Kingsville...In the 2019 Heartland Conference Softball Championship hit a walk-off solo home run to give TAMIU a thrilling 3-2 extra-inning win over Rogers State...Smith would later garner 2019 Heartland Conference All-Tournament honors for batting .294 (5-for-17) with five RBI in the tournament, including a three-hit performance in the Dustdevils' first matchup against Lubbock Christian (May 2nd).

2018:
Earned Second Team All-Heartland Conference Honors after appearing in 34 games where she hit a team-high .367 with eight doubles and six home runs to drive in 20 runs for 62 total bases slugging .633. She also scored 20 runs with eight walks and 11 stolen bases for an on-base percentage of .426. Had a career-high four hits against Adams State on Feb. 10 where she had a double and home run with three RBIs. Recorded three games where she drove in three runs (Central Oklahoma, Adams State and Angelo State). Recorded her first home run against Central Oklahoma on Feb. 2 in the bottom of the 7th. Was a key part of the Dustdevils hot streak in the final month of the season recording a hit in 11 of their last 12 games including at least one hit in the final eight games. 

Prior to Joining TAMIU:
Smith earned 2nd team Arizona Community College Athletic Conference honors as a sophomore in 2017 where she hit .375 with 18 doubles, two triples and 10 home runs to drive in 49 runs in 62 games. She also recorded 18 walks and 19 stolen bases for an on base percentage of .419. She spent a year at Yavapai College before transferring to Central Arizona.
 
High School:
Graduated from Mohave High School in Bullhead City, Arizona. She earned 2nd team all-section recognition while also being named Offensive Player of the Year in 2014. She was also named 1st team all-section, 1st team Colorado River Region and Colorado River Region Athlete of the Year in 2015.
 
Personal:
Born Lindsey Carol Smith on September 26th, 1997 in Orange County, Calif. She is the daughter of Sheryl and Daryl Smith. She has two siblings, Kayla (25) and Justin (23). Her parents are her role models. She chose to attend TAMIU because she really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. She also really liked the nursing program. She is majoring in nursing and has aspirations to become a registered nurse.
