2019:
In her third season as a Dustdevil, Contreras hit .240/.324/.375 and three home runs...Compiled a single-game career-high three hits (3-for-3) including a double and a two-run blast in a non-conference road matchup against Angelo State on February 11th.

2018:
Contreras made seven appearances including two starts as sophomore in 2018. She recorded her first career hit against nationally ranked Tarleton State on April 10th. Also recorded a career-high three putouts against the TexAnns. 

2017:
Contreras made seven appearances including two starts as a freshman for the Dustdevils in 2017. She drove in her first career RBI on a sacrifice fly against Southern Nazarene on February 4th.

High School: Delta High School (Class of 2016)
At Atascocita High School, Contreras played softball for four years. The team was awarded with second-team All-District.

Personal:
Born Alyssa Mari Contreras on July 26th, 1998 in Houston, Texas.  Alyssa is the daughter of Cindy and Tony Contreras. She is a sister to Adrian (14). Contreras chose to attend TAMIU because she got to play the sport she loves while getting my education. Alyssa looks up to her mother the most. She is majoring in nursing and after graduation, she plans to pursue her career as nurse practitioner. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends.
