2021:
Esqueda participated in six events for the Dustdevils. His best performance was at the OLLU Invitational where he placed 11th with a time of 25:37.2. His best 10k performance was at the NCAA Division II Championships where he got 132nd with a time of 34:21.8. 

2020: 
Esqueda participated in three events for the Dustdevils. His best performance, where he placed 12th with a time of 27:01.5., was at the Dallas Baptist XC Opener. 

2019:
Esqueda ran in five meets and finished in the top 20 three times and top 10 twice. His best overall finish was ninth place, finishing in that spot at both the Saints Invitational and the Concordia Classic. Esqueda set his career best time at the UIW XC Invite with a time of 21:39.3. Esqueda also took part in the NCAA DII South Central Region Cross Country Championship, finishing with a time of 36:08.8 in the 10K event.

High School:
Esqueda attended Edinburg North High School where he got acknowledge for his athletic and academic performances. Such as All-District 31-6A Performer (2018, and 2019), 2018 Meet of Champions ( Second Team All-Valley), and IUL Scholar Award (2019).

Personal:
Esqueda is the son of Luz Leal-Esqueda and Jose Esqueda and has 2 younger brothers, Diego and Luiz. Esqueda will be pursuing a Kinesiology major.
