Prior to TAMIU:
Mia Monroe transferred to Texas A&M International University from Prairie View A&M University, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List in Spring 2024. At Prairie View A&M, she showcased her skills with an impressive 52% shooting percentage from beyond the arc.

High School:
Mia is a proud graduate of Colorado High School in Colorado City, TX, where she was a standout athlete. She played four years of varsity basketball, softball, and three years of varsity volleyball, earning numerous accolades. She was named 1st Team All-Region, All-Area, All-County, and All-Conference as a freshman, and went on to win District 5-A Newcomer of the Year honors. She also received Big Country Newcomer of the Year and Offensive MVP awards during her sophomore and junior years.

Personal:
Born on January 21, 2003, Mia is the daughter of Beatrice and Marcus Monroe. She has two brothers, Markis and Mayson. She is pursuing a major in Kinesiology, with minors in Psychology and Business.
