Maria Melendez is a senior goalkeeper for Texas A&M International University and is currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. A native of Cagua, Venezuela, Maria is the daughter of Gabriel Melendez and was born on July 1, 2006.

2025:
As a junior, Maria appeared in 8 games with 7 starts for the Dustdevils while posting a .667 save percentage as a goalkeeper.

2024:
In her sophomore year at Indian Hills Community College, Maria started 18 games with a 12-6 record while posting a .769 save average.

2023:
Maria began her collegiate career as a freshman at Indian Hills Community College. She started in all 13 games she appeared in and posted a 5-5 record with a .766 save percentage.

High School:
Maria attended Unidad Educativa Privada Colegio Aragua Estudiantil in Cagua, Venezuela, where she graduated in 2023.
