Personal: 
Born Sara Louise Caterson on June 10th, 1996 in Brisbane, Australia. She is the daughter of Maria and Robert Caterson and is the sister of Daniel (31) and Ben (28). She is majoring in psychology and minoring in sociology.

2019:
In her senior season, Caterson started in a career-high 20 games while compiling a career-best 3.94 ERA through 96 innings pitched...In the circle, Caterson threw 40 strikeouts and finished the season with career highs of nine wins (9-10), nine complete games and a pair of shutouts...On April 24th, she threw a complete-game shutout in a five-inning 8-0 run-rule home victory in the second game of a doubleheader against Angelo State.

2018:
Caterson went 3-7 with an ERA of 4.47 in the circle for the Dustdevils in 2018 making appearances 22 appearances and 16 starts. She allowed 67 runs (49 earned) on 104 hits with 37 strikeouts. Had arguably her best pitching performance of the season in the elimination game of the Heartland Conference Softball Championships where she held the league’s top hitting team, Lubbock Christian, to two runs (no earned) on three hits with five strikeouts. She also went the distance against UC-Colorado Spring earlier in the season holding the Mountain Lions to one runs on seven hits during the WTAMU Classic. The junior was also used as a designated player where she hit .273 with two doubles and one home run to drive in two runs. Her first career home run came against Newman on March 9th in Wichita, Kan.

2017:
Caterson went 6-9 with a 5.17 ERA in the circle for the Dustdevils in 2017 making 19 appearances including 14 starts. The transfer from Odessa College tossed 105.2 innings as she allowed 93 runs (78 earned) on 132 hits with 51 strikeouts while allowing an opponent batting average of .375. The Redlands, Australia native also played first base for TAMIU where she hit .153 with 13 hits including three doubles and one triple driving in four runs. She tossed her first career complete game shutout against Rogers State on March 31 allowing two hits and three walks while fanning two Hillcats on 82 pitches. Earned Heartland Conference All-Tournament Team honors after throwing a gem against Newman going 6 2/3 innings without allowing a run scattering four hits and striking out two batters.
