Anessa Barrera is a junior midfielder for Texas A&M International University and is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Jusice. A native of El Paso, TX, Anessa is the daughter of Felipe and Vanessa Barrera and was born on February 12, 2006.

2025:
As a sophomore, Anessa appeared in 17 games with 12 starts for the Dustdevils. She logged in 1,224 minutes and recorded a .417 shots on goal percentage.

2024:
Anessa began her college soccer career as a freshman at the University of Texas - El Paso where she appeared in 9 games and registered two shots (one on goal).

High School:
Anessa attended Andress High School in El Paso, Texas and graduated in 2024. A four year letterwinner in soccer, Anessa also won Freshman of the Year and was named All Andress Woman Athlete and earned 1st Team All-District four times.
