2023:
Hecht appeared in 17 games, starting two for a total of 675 minutes. She scored six goals and assisted one. She ended the season with 30 shots, 15 of which were on goal.

2022: 
Hecht played in 17 games, starting three and totaling 571 minutes. She scored one goal and ended with 13 shots, eight of which were on goal. 

Prior to TAMIU:
Hecht, a native of Holland, Mich., joins the Dustdevil soccer family after a successful stint at Muskegon Community College.

She was named First Team All-American after netting 22 goals and assisting 13 others while helping lead her team to the NJCAA Championship Semifinals.

High School:
Hecht attended Zeeland West High School and was a dual-sport athlete. In 2018, Hecht was named Holland Sentinel Player of the Year. She was an All-State Honorable Mention two times and was named to All-Region, All-District, All-Conference, and All-Area team for four years in a row. 

Personal: 
Sammy is daughter to Joy and Adam Hecht. She has three siblings, Maxwell, Kara, and Emma. Hecht comes from a family of athletes; her brother Maxwell played NAIA Baseball for Concordia University and was a National Champion in 2018, and her sister Kara played at Grand Rapids Community College who came in 10th place in 2021 in the NJCAA D2. Hecht will be pursuing her bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in Finance.
