Women's Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision To Newman University

Wichita, Kansas - Noemi Salazar made six saves for the Texas A&M International Women's Soccer Team, but it wasn't enough as they dropped a 1-0 decision to Newman University Sunday afternoon in Wichita, Kansas.

Mei-Mei Senthavy scored the game winning goal in the 18th minute of the match, firing a close range shot past Salazar after taking a pass from Alli Zingo.

Shelby Williams had a game high four shots including three shots on goal, but couldn't best Newman keeper Christina Farid, who finished with four saves in the match.

TAMIU falls to 2-12-1 on the season and 1-5 in Heartland Conference Play. The Dustdevils are back at home for their last three games of the season hosting Dallas Baptist October 27th, St. Edwards October 29th and U.T. Permian Basin November 1st.
