LAREDO, Texas (October 1, 2016) - The Texas A&M International University Women's Soccer team continued Heartland Conference play at home on Saturday. TAMIU was dealt a 0-4 defeat to St. Edward's. The Dustdevils move to 0-10-0 overall (0- 6 HC).
The Dustdevils offense was held at bay by Heartland Conference leader, St. Edward's.
The Hilltoppers took a 1-0 advantage in the 15th minute. TAMIU would keep SEU off the board through the 31st minute before a second Hilltopper goal put SEU up 2-0 in the 32nd minute.
TAMIU looked to rebound after facing a 0-2 deficit through 45 minutes, attacking the net for the first Dustdevil shots. The Hilltoppers would net two more goals in the final 45 minutes, dealing TAMIU a 0-4 loss.

Felipe Arias commented after the game, "There is no doubts that we played against the best team in the conference. Unfortunately during the entire game we couldn't adjust to SEU's pressure on the ball."
The Dustdevils will play a mid-week game one Tuesday, October 4. TAMIU travels to Edinburg, Texas to play UT-Rio Grande Valley. Play is set to begin at 7pm CST.
