Wichita, Kansas (March 19, 2016) – The Texas A&M International University Softball team concluded their week long road trip with a 0-3 loss to Newman University. TAMIU finished 2-5 on the trip and moves to 17-22 overall (6-6 HC)
The Dustdevil tallied eight (8) hits Saturday but struggled to push a run across. The Jets scored twice in the first, adding a run in the second to take a 3-0 lead. TAMIU put runners in scoring position in five (5) innings before Newman would cut the rally short.

Brandi Giles each picked up a pair of singles in the game.
Brittany Mussett recorded TAMIU's extra base knock on a double to left center.
Delainy Thompson got the start on the mound. Thompson threw six (6) complete innings, allowing just one (1) earned run. Thompson picked up one (1) strikeout, allowing six (6) hits.
The Dustdevils return home on March 29. TAMIU will take on Texas A&M Kingsville in a double header at Dustdevil Field. First pitch is set for 1 pm CST.
