A LOOK AT THE ALL-TIME SERIES
Thursday's match will be the fourth meeting between the two schools with LCU holding a 2-1-0 advantage. The Dustdevils have dropped the last two matches, both at home, but were victorious in their only match in Lubbock in 2013.

A LOOK AT THE CHAPS
Paul Gilbert (9-17-4) has the Chaps playing some of their best soccer at the moment after starting the season 1-4-0 including a loss to the University of the Southwest. In his second season in Lubbock, Gilbert has seen the Chaps go 1-0-2 in their past three matches including a 1-1 draw at nationally-ranked Midwestern State in Wichita Falls.

The Chaps sit in second in the West Division and sixth overall with six matches remaining in the 2017 season. West Texas A&M sits atop the West Division with 16 points followed by LCU (11 pts.), UT Permian Basin (9 pts.) and Eastern New Mexico (3 pts.).

The Chaps have scored 10 goals on nine assists through 12 matches this season with Abdou Joof and Louis Callaghan contributing three a piece. Joof has been in good form scoring the game-winner against ENMU and assisting on the match-tying goal against MSU. Callaghan scored all three of his goals early in conference play but did put a season-high five shots up against ENMU. Corey Hutchinson is the team leader in assists for LCU with two with seven other players contributing at least one assist.

Parker O'Quinn and Diego Goibeira have both seen action in goal for the Chaps in 2017. O'Quinn has started the last nine matches for LCU allowing two goals twice while compiling three shutouts making 38 saves on 133 shots faced for 1 .826 save percentage. He ranks fourth in the conference in goals against average (.838) and sixth in saves per game (4.25).

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
Carlos Herrera ranks 13th nationally in save percentage (.850) and 21st in goals against average (.706) while the Dustdevils as a team rank 14th in save percentage (.846).

Rafael Montabes leads the Heartland Conferee in shots per match at 3.56 with StMU's Nenad Markovic in second with 3.55 and Rogers State's Jake Simpson in third (3.55). The sophomore also ranks seventh in the conference with three assists.

With two wins this weekend, TAMIU would have four road wins for the first time since 2013 when they went 4-4-1 away from Laredo.

With an appearance in Thursday's match, senior Michael Iskander will play in his 60th match for TAMIU since 2014. Fellow senior Aaron Zuniga isn't far behind as he has played in 58 matches making 44 starts.

Freshman Keanu Born leads the team in minutes played (945) as the Aachen, Germany product has played every minute at center back for the Dustdevils.

The Dustdevils are 3-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 in conference play when they score the first goal of the match. They have yet to lead at half time through 10 matches and are 4-2-1 when tied at half.
