LAREDO, Texas (October 20, 2017) - The Texas A&M International University Volleyball team will close a two-game homestand against Dallas Baptist University on Saturday. The Dustdevils and Patriots will face off in the TAMIU KCB at 12 p.m.

The Dustdevils enter Saturday's match after a 1-3 loss against St. Edward's University on Thursday night. The Dustdevils fell in four sets after nearly forcing a decisive fifth set before SEU rallied to score six straight, ending the match in favor of the Hilltoppers. Saturday's match will featurea post-game clinic open to the public free of charge. The clinic will begin approzimatley 20 minutes after the matches conclusion. 

SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS:
DBU comes into the KCB after falling 1-3 to St. Mary's University on Thursday night. The Patriots hold an overall record of 6-12 with a 2-5 mark in Heartland Conference play. Saturday's match will mark the second and final time the Patriots and Dustdevils will face off in the 2017 season. In their previous matchup on September 21, the Dustdevils were dealt a 0-3 loss in Dallas. In 23 meetings all-time, the Patriots lead 19-4. 

Sidneejo Fitzpatrick leads the Patriots in kills and blocks through 18 games this season. Fitzpatrick has tallied 135 kills and 68 blocks. Merci Perry leads the team with 384 assists. Layren Nicks has added 19 aces to the Patriot offense. Nicks also leads DBU with 350 digs. 

DUSTDEVIL LEADERS:
Leah McManus, Ronnie Fountain, and Yuliia Hupkovska continue to lead the Dustdevils offensively. McManus leads the team with 149 kills while Hupkovska and McManus have each picked up 19 aces. Fountain has recorded 489 assists through 20 games. Lacy Asdourian leads the Dustdevils with 241 digs and Panebi Shirey has added 42 blocks.
