GOODWELL, Oklahoma (April 22, 2017) – The Texas A&M International University Softball team closed out a weekend series with Oklahoma Panhandle State on Saturday. The Dustdevils picked up their third straight win, defeating thee Aggies 1-0. TAMIU improves to 17-29 overall (11-7 Heartland Conference).
The Dustdevils and Aggies traded blows in the circle, battling through five scoreless innings before TAMIU pushed across a run in the sixth inning.
Brandi Giles drove in
Amanda Hinajosa on a sacrifice fly, putting the Dustdevils ahead 1-0 late in the ballgame.
Delainy Thompson shut down the Aggies throughout, holding OPSU scoreless throughout. Thomspon picks up her second straight win, improving to 11-13.
Krystal Perez went 3-3 at the plate while Giles went 2-2, picking up an RBI.
