2018:
The four-year started earned Second Team All-Heartland Conference honors after going 10-15 in 28 appearances and 24 starts during her senior season. She pitched a team-high 146 1/3 innings allowing 83 runs (69 runs) on 135 hits with 74 strikeouts while allowing an opponent batting average of .247. Her 3.30 ERA is the fifth-lowest in program history. Thompson recorded the program’s first no-hitter on March 27 at home against Lubbock Christian allowing one walk while striking out three in TAMIU’s 1-0 victory. She pitched a career-high 11 innings in an instant classic against Rogers State allowing two runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out four. The Eastvale, Calif. native finishes her career as one of two players in program history to record over 500 innings pitched and 300 strikeouts.  

2017:
Thompson had an impressive junior season going 12-16 with a 2.66 ERA in the circle for the Dustdevils in 2017 making a team-high 29 appearances including 27 starts. She tossed 173.2 innings including 22 complete games allowing 80 runs (66 earned runs) on 184 hits with 107 strikeouts while allowing an opponent batting average of .276. She recorded back-to-back shutouts in a pair of 1-0 victories over Oklahoma Panhandle State (April 22) and Lubbock Christian (April 28) going 14 innings scattering eight hits and three walks while striking out five. She struck out a season-high eight batters in wins over Central Missouri (Feb. 5) and Newman (March 11).

2016:
Thompson made 31 appearances, including 27 starts for the Dustdevils in 2016. Thompson accumulated 169 innings pitched, striking out 96. Thompson threw 13 complete games, one (1) shutout, and picked up 11 wins. 

2015:
As a Freshman Thompson started 16 games for the Dustdevils. She pitched 106 innings, striking out 63 opponents.

Club Sports: Softball
Delainy played for the Firecrackers Softball Club out of Lakewood, California. She played from 2010-2014.

High School: Roosevelt High School
As a Pitcher Delainy lettered in softball for (4) years. She was named to the All-League First Team (3) times. Thompson played volleyball, lettering for (2) years.

Personal:
Delainy is the daughter of Erin and Lucas Thompson. She has a brother, Tanner and sister, Madison. Delainy chose TAMIU because it offers her great opportnities. Her role model is her Dad. After TAMIU she wants to travel the world with teammate Alyssa Acuna. In her free time she enjoys watching Netflix.
