Box Score AUSTIN, Texas (September 30, 2017) – The Texas A&M International University women's soccer road woes continued on Saturday afternoon as they fell 4-0 to fourth-ranked St. Edward's at Lewis-Chen Family Field. The loss drops the Dustdevils to 2-7-1 and 1-6-0 in Heartland Conference play while the Hilltoppers improved to 7-0-3 (5-0-3).
Sophomore
Cio Bargallo once again lead the TAMIU offense with a team-high four shots with
Nicole Cohen and
Martha Perez recording one a piece.
Elaine Salazar (0-2-0) made a career-high four saves on 21 shots.
The Dustdevils were outshot 21-6 including 12-2 during the first half where the Hilltoppers scored three goals. SEU also took 10 corner kicks compared to the one of TAMIU.
The Hilltoppers went up 2-0 in the first 20 minutes of the contest on two goals from India Wentz.

st minute was the first shot of the match as Bargallo's first shot of the contest in the 36
th minute was saved by SEU's Ocoee Wilson, which resulted in a corner kick from Araceli Martinex. SEU added a third goal right before half time on Madison Tumicki's first goal of the season.
TAMIU went down 4-0 in the first minute of the second half on a goal from Elainna Chavez who beat Salazar at the far post. The Dustdevils offense came to life with 20 minutes left in the match with
Martha Perez forcing another Wilson save followed by a shot wide by Bargallo.
Bargallo's effort in the 77
th minute was TAMU's best opportunity but Wilson was there to stop the Heartland Conference's leading goal scorer. The Dustdevils final scoring opportunity came with 10 seconds but it went over the crossbar as TAMIU's scoreless streak on the road now sits at 715 minutes.
The Dustdevils return to action against St. Mary's on Saturday, Oct. 7, in San Antonio. TAMIU fell 4-3 to the Rattlers in their first matchup of the season on Sept. 5 in Laredo.
