ARLINGTON, Texas (March 1, 2018) – The Texas A&M International University Baseball team continues a seven-game road trip in Arlington, Texas on Friday. The Dustdevils (5-5) will take on Arlington Baptist (4-9) at QuikTrip Park in a three-game series.
THE WEEKEND RUNDOWN:
The Dustdevils and Patriots will play three-games over two days before TAMIU returns home to face Lubbock Christian. All three games will be played at QuikTrip Park, beginning on Friday, March 2.

ARLINGTON BAPTIST (4-9)
The Patriots enter play at 4-9 on the season, playing their last series against William Jewel College. Arlington Baptist and William Jewel split the series at one game.
D2 Opposition: The Patriots have faced one other NCAA Division II member in Lone Star Conference opponent Tarleton State. The Patriots and Texans played a three-game set that saw Tarleton sweep in consecutive games (23-2, 5-0, 9-6).
Hot Hitters: Arlington Baptist has four hitters who post a batting average above .340 this season. James Duvall and Justan Bailey lead the team at .400. Duvall is 22-55 at the plate this season with seven RBI. Bailey sits at 20-50 with four RBI and two triples.
The Staff: The Patriots are led on the mound by Lyric Walker who has tossed 16 innings this season. Walker posts an ERA of 2.81. Brandon Ventura is 0-2 with an ERA of 7.71, Dalton Land sits at 2-3 with an ERA of 7.40 with 24 and a third innings on the bump, Ryan Rivera has tossed 30 and a third innings, posting an ERA of 4.45.
A LOOK AT THE DUSTDEVILS (5-5)
TAMIU enters the series on a four-game winning streak after knocking off Houston-Victoria and Huston Tillotson in a pair of doubleheaders on the road. The Dustdevils are 4-0 on the road this season.
At the Dish: Mathew Trevino leads the Dustdevils at the plate, posting an average of .444 through 10 games this season. Trevino has knocked in six runs and picked up a pair of doubles.
Alex Cabezas has the team's lone longball this season, batting .286 with six RBI.
Daniel Espinosa sits at .292, playing in eight games this season.
On the Mound: The Dustdevils post a team ERA of 2.28 this season, led by
Eleazar Rojas. Rojas sits at 0-1 but has yet to allow an earned run to cross the plate. In 13 innings, Rojas has picked up a team high 19 strikeouts.
Hugo Mendiola is 2-0 with an ERA of 0.96 this season over 18.2 innings on the mound.
Last Time Out: In their last set of games, the Dustdevils picked up a pair of 5-1 wins over Huston Tillotson in Austin, Texas.
ALL-TIME SERIES:
The Patriots and Dustdevils have met nine times in the past five seasons with TAMIU holding the all-time series lead of 7-2.
The teams last faced off in a three-game set at QuikTrip Park in 2016. The Dustdevils went 3-0, defeating Arlington Baptist 12-3, 15-3, and 8-2.
TAMIU is 4-2 at home against Arlington Baptist while they sit at 3-0 in QuikTrip Park. TAMIU's largest margin of victory came at home on March 22, 2014 when the Dustdevils won 17-1.
