2018:
Trevino had a breakout sophomore campaign in 2018 where he hit .276 with eight doubles to drive in 19 runs and 43 total bases for a .339 slugging percentage. In 40 appearances including 38 starts, the Edinburg product walked 18 times while scoring eight times for a .366 on-base percentage. Recorded 117 putouts, 7 assists and four errors for a .969 fielding percentage. Had arguably his best game of the season against Cameron on Feb. 9 going 3 for 3 from the plate driving in three runs. Also went 3 for 4 against Newman on April 19 with a double and 3 RBIs. 

High School: Trevino played baseball and football  at Edinburg high school, Edinburg TX. Trevino was most improved and valuable player, and also received the silver slugger award.

Personal: Trevino is the son of Manuel and Dina. He is the brother to Manny and Vianney. Trevino chose TAMIU because of the opportunity to play baseball and get his education at the same time.
