CLAREMORE, Oklahoma (March 30, 2018) - The Texas A&M International University Baseball team opened a four-game series with Rogers State University on Friday. The Dustdevils took game one 3-0 before falling in game two. TAMIU moves to 10-17 overall and 2-4 in the Heartland Conference.
GAME 1: TAMIU 3 - RSU 0
Eleazar Rojas got the nod in game one, tossing five innings. Rojas picked up his second win after allowing just four hits while striking out eight Hillcats.
Coleman Butler relieved Rojas in the sixth before
Mauro Luna tossed the final inning, picking up his first save of the season. TAMIU picked up three runs in the third behind RBI's from three different Dustdevils.
Highlights:

Ricky Gonzalez put TAMIU ahead 1-0 after driving in
Alex Cabezas on an RBI double.
Jorge Napoles drove in Gonzalez with a single up the middle before
Mathew Trevino put TAMIU ahead 3-0 after a single through the right side, scoring Napoles.
En Fuego: Rojas picked up his second win but kept up his dominant season on Friday. The Senior allowed just four hits while adding eight strikeouts to his season total. Rojas is now tied for most team wins in 2018, posting an ERA of 0.87 with 48 strikeouts.
GAME 2: TAMIU 4 - RSU 10
Eric Cleveland started game two for TAMIU, tossing two and a third.
Hugo Mendiola tossed the next four and two-thirds innings before
Justin Diaz and
Mark Trimble tossed the final inning.
TAMIU went ahead early in game two, putting up two runs in the first inning. Gonzalez drove home Ceasar Espinoza on a double to left field before Napoles drove in Gonzalez on an infield single.
TAMIU put up a run in the fifth and another in the sixth before Rogers State pulled away with a four-run eighth.
