AUSTIN, Texas – Texas A&M International volleyball (2-13, 0-6 LSC) fell in a 2-0 match (8-25, 16-25, 17-25) to St. Edwards (10-6, 3-1 LSC) on Saturday.

Senior Annie Deininger led the Dustdevils with eight kills in addition to a dig and a block. Sophomore Sammantha Herrera posted seven kills with a dig and an assist. Senior Hannah Semon logged 12 digs and an assist. Sophomore Maison Kosse contributed 23 assists with 10 digs.

The Hilltoppers started on fire as they opened on an 11-1 run. They eventually went up 18-4. They took the set 25-8.

The second set was much closer with eight ties and four lead changes in the first half of the frame. SEU broke away on a 6-2 run to take a 18-14 lead. They closed out the set on a 7-1 run to take the frame 25-16.

In the third set, the Hilltoppers took an early 10-5 lead. TAMIU managed to trim the deficit to 12-9, but that would be as close they would get. SEU eventually took the set 25-17.

The Dustdevils return home on Friday, Oct. 18 for the annual Dig Pink game against UAFS at 6 p.m.
