LAREDO, Texas – No. 10 Texas A&M International University men's soccer (5-0-1, 1-0-0 LSC) will host a pair of Lone Star Conference opponents starting on Thursday against St. Edward's University (1-4-1, 1-0-0 LSC) on Thursday, Oct. 3 and on Saturday, Oct. 5 against DBU (2-5-0, 0-1-0 LSC). 

Last Thursday, the Dustdevils opened LSC play with a shutout against St. Mary's (3-2-1, 0-1-0 LSC) by a score of 2-0. Ruben Nielsen registered a pair of assists which marked his first career two-assist match. The senior currently ranks third in the nation in assists (5) as well as assists per game (0.83). Nielsen is also a standout in the LSC ranking among the conference leaders in shots on goal (T-2nd, 14), points (T-2nd, 13) goals (T-3rd, 4). 

As a result of the remarkable start to the season, TAMIU was nationally recognized as they were ranked 10th in the United Soccer Coaches Poll on Tuesday.

St. Edward's most recently defeated DBU 2-1 to claim their its victory of the season. The two Hilltopper goals were recorded by Michalis Clark and Jason Lyons, respectively. 

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

DBU has dropped its last three decisions all by scores of 2-1. Most recently, they suffered an overtime loss versus UT Tyler (5-1-0). Abraham Garcia registered the lone goal of the match for the Patriots in the 28th minute. 

The match will begin at 7 p.m.
