DALLAS  – Texas A&M International volleyball continued its hot streak as they knocked off Wingate in a dominant 3-1 victory on the second day of the AVCA Division II Women's National Championship Tournament.
After splitting two matches with the No. 9 and 12 teams in the country in pool play on the first day of the tournament, the Dustdevils continued roll as they trounced Wingate with a 25-10 decision in the first set on Thursday. The Bulldogs rallied in the second frame an took a 25-16 decision. TAMIU was unfazed as they rebounded by taking the third set 25-13. They continued to have their way with Wingate as they took the match with a 25-19 decision in the fourth and final set.
With the win, the Dustdevils punched their ticket to the gold bracket quarterfinals, where they will face off against Ashland at 7 p.m. this evening.
