TAMIU Women's Basketball Announces 2023-24 Schedule

LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International University head women's basketball coach, Nate Vogel, announced the 2023-24 schedule on Tuesday.

The Dustdevils open the 2023-24 season with a trip to Vancouver, B.C., Canada for the Canadian Tip Off Classic from Friday, Nov. 3 through Sunday, Nov. 5. The opponents and times for these three contests are yet to be determined.

TAMIU returns home to host its home opener on Saturday, Nov. 18 when they welcome Lincoln (Calif.) to the KCB, opening tip is TBD.

The Dustdevils hit the road for their second non-conference tournament of the season, taking part in the Oklahoma Thanksgiving Classic that runs Tuesday, Nov. 21 and Wednesday, Nov. 22. Opponents and times for the two matchups are yet to be determined.

Following the Thanksgiving Break, Lone Star Conference action begins on Thursday, Nov. 30 against UT Permian Basin at 6 p.m., followed by a visit from defending LSC Tournament Champions Angelo State on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 1 p.m.

The first road conference matchups pit TAMIU against Lubbock Christian on Sunday, Dec. 10 and West Texas A&M on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

The Dustdevils close the 2023 calendar year with a pair of home games, one in LSC play against Texas A&M-Kingsville at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16 and non-conference action versus LeTourneau on Friday, Dec. 29.

The 2024 portion of the schedule sees TAMIU stay in LSC play, with home matchups against St. Edward's (Jan. 4), St. Mary's (Jan. 6), Eastern New Mexico (Jan. 25), Western New Mexico (Jan. 27), UAFS (Feb. 8), Oklahoma Christian (Feb. 10), Texas Woman's (Feb. 15) and the home finale against UT Tyler on Feb. 17.

All home conference games on Thursday's will tip at 6 p.m., while Saturday home LSC contests will tip at 1 p.m.

The road schedule for the Dustdevils in the 2024 segment of the schedule includes trips to Oklahoma Christian (Jan. 11), UAFS (Jan. 13), UT Tyler (Jan. 18), Texas Woman's (Jan. 20), St. Mary's (Feb. 1), St. Edward's (Feb. 3), Cameron (Feb. 22) and Midwestern State in the regular season finale on Feb. 24.

The Lone Star Conference Tournament will take place the second week of March, the dates, times and location are yet to be officially determined.
