TAMIU Welcomes Jaelyn Morrison to the Women's Basketball Team

Laredo, TX - Texas A&M International University is thrilled to announce the latest addition to their Women's Basketball team, Jaelyn Morrison. Hailing from Monterey High School in Lubbock, TX, Morrison brings an impressive list of accolades and a remarkable basketball journey to the Dustdevils.
 
Morrison's exceptional high school career is highlighted by a series of remarkable achievements, showcasing her dedication and talent on the court. She was honored as the Freshman Newcomer of the Year, setting the stage for a stellar journey ahead. Over the years, Morrison consistently demonstrated her prowess, earning the titles of District 2-5A Offensive MVP and District 2-5A MVP.
 
Notably, Morrison's commitment to excellence led to her being recognized as a 4-time All-District Player and securing 3 All-City Honors. Her exceptional skills shone on multiple occasions, earning her a spot on the All-Tournament Team at five different tournaments. 
 
In her senior year, Morrison played an integral role in leading her team to the Elite 8 of the State Tournament, showcasing her leadership and determination in high-stakes situations. Her impressive career culminated with a total of 1729 career points, a testament to her scoring ability and dedication to the sport.
 
The Dustdevils are excited to welcome Morrison to the team.
