Box Score Wichita Falls, Texas – TAMIU emerged victorious on Saturday afternoon for their 23
rd win of the season in a battle against Midwestern State with a final score of 76-68.
TAMIU took an early lead in the first quarter, shooting an impressive 55% from the field, including 3 three-pointers. Midwestern State stayed within striking distance, finishing the quarter at 44.4%. The second quarter saw a slight dip in shooting percentages for both teams. TAMIU held on to their lead, heading into halftime with a score of 40-34.
The Dustdevils continued to control the third quarter of the game, shooting efficiently. MSU struggled to close the gap, with TAMIU leading 61-52 heading into the final quarter. MSU made a late push in the fourth quarter, but the Dustdevils held their ground to secure the 76-68 victory.
Raiana Brown collected a double-double to lead the Dustdevils with 24 points, shooting 75% from the field, and 10 rebounds.
Samiyah Worrell added a season high 24 points, including 5 three-pointers. She also made impactful contributions with 6 assists and 2 steals.
Malea Jackson contributed 12 points and
Ngozi Obineke showcased her rebounding dominance, securing an impressive total of 12 boards.
With the win, the Dustdevils improve to 23-6 (15-6 Lone Star) on the season. The Dustdevils will travel to Kingsville, TX on Thursday to face the Javelinas at 5:30pm for the final game of the regular season.
