Dustdevils Fall to Eagles in Series Finale

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – The Dustdevils (5-14, 2-7) finished the series today in Oklahoma City against the Oklahoma Christian Eagles (11-6, 7-2), but fell to the Eagles 7-2.

Kylie Goad got the start on the mound for the Dustdevils and sat the Eagles down in order through the first two innings.

OCU got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the third inning.

The Eagles extended their lead, scoring three more runs in the bottom of the fourth with a triple and a two-run home run.

The Eagle offense added two more runs in the fifth and one more in the bottom of the sixth, giving them a 7-0 lead.

The Dustdevils rallied in the top of the seventh, scoring two runs via a Kennedy Griego double and a Victoria Gonzalez single.

Grace Anderson held the Dustdevils to just two runs on two hits with no walks and one strikeout through 6.0 innings pitched.

Goad finished her day pitching five innings and allowing six runs on six hits with two walks. Celeste Apaez came in to pitch the sixth inning and allowed one run on two hits.

The Dustdevils continue their season on the road as they travel to Kingsville, Texas, to face the Texas A&M – Kingsville Javelinas Tuesday Feb. 27 and Wednesday Feb. 28, with first pitch on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
