Ponce Earns NCBWA All-South Central Region Honors

Laredo, Texas - The 2024 All-South Central Region Baseball teams presented by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) were announced Wednesday, and Isaac Ponce has been named to the second team all-region.

Ponce's performance this season earned him a place among the region's best players. With a record of 7-4, an ERA of 4.32, and 81 strikeouts, Ponce demonstrated exceptional skill and consistency on the mound.

The 2024 All-South Central Region Baseball teams were selected by a committee of eight members, equally divided between representatives from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and the Lone Star Conference. Additionally, the committee selected Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Coach of the Year as separate honors.
