Laredo, Texas- The Texas A&M International Dustdevils hosted Dallas Baptist University on Saturday. TAMIU entered the game 9-10 on the season and 4-6 in conference play. With the win, TAMIU would move .500 on the season and continue to secure their spot in conference tournament play.

The first half was all DBU as the Patriots ended the first half leading 45-36. The Dustdevils continued to fight hard and remain at a striking distance as the Patriots led for the entire game. The biggest lead of the night was 21 with 12:23 to play as the score was 64-43 in favor of the Patriots. However, TAMIU showed their determination and did not give in as the Dustdevils cut the lead to 79-74 with 1:46 left after a pair of free throws from
Esteban Roacho. However, the next two possessions from the Patriots would seal the deal as the final score was 82-74.

The Dustdevils shot 29-51 from the field, 9-19 from three-point land and 7-12 from the free throw line. The Dustdevils had 40 points in the paint as well as 34 bench points.
Esteban Roacho led the Dustdevils in scoring with 16 followed by
Anthony Ignowski with 14. Ignowski also led the team in rebounds with five.
Isaiah Somers led the Dustdevils in steals with three and led in assists with four.
Duncan Alevok led the Dustdevils in blocks with one.
