Dallas, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer fell 3-0 to DBU on Wednesday evening at Patriot Soccer Field.
The Dustdevils' defense worked to slow down one of the nation's top teams, with goalkeepers
Maria Melendez and
Latae Rodriguez combining for six saves across the match. Melendez recorded three stops in the opening half, while Rodriguez added three more in the second 45 minutes.
Offensively, TAMIU managed a pair of shots, including looks from
Ashley Perez and
Sahar Maimon, but were unable to break through against the Patriot defense. The Dustdevils continued to fight in the second half, limiting DBU to just one goal after halftime despite the Patriots' constant pressure.
TAMIU continues its season at home on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. against UT Dallas.
