San Antonio, Texas – The Dustdevils faced conference foe St. Mary's and Central Oklahoma in day one of the Rattler Invitational. TAMIU fell 3-0 in the two hard fought matches.
Against St. Mary's,
Mia Molina led the Dustdevil offense with eight kills.
Sierra Long and
Sierra Sanchez each recorded six and five kills respectively.
Caitlyn Cornell recorded four block assists and Sanchez led the team with 14 digs.
TAMIU dropped the match to St. Mary's 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-16).
TAMIU faced undefeated Central Oklahoma in their second match, also falling in three sets (25-15, 25-22, 25-16).
Aryana Ledet and
Caitlyn Cornell led the team with a combined 13 kills.
Abby Buenrostro recorded four block assists,
Sierra Long recorded three.
Sanchez, for the second time in as many matches, led the team with 15 digs.
Mia Molina and
Mia Ramirez both recorded 10.
The Dustdevils close out the Rattler Invitational on Saturday with a match against Fairmont State at 1:00 p.m.
