Biography

2015:
Chavez started her Senior season with a Top 10 finish at the TAMIU Invitational. In front of hometown fans, Chavez crossed the finish line in 9th place. At the SWTC Invitational Natalie finished in 8th place. Chavez added a Top 20 finsh to her resume at the UIW Inviitational, placing 18th. Natalie also finished as one of the Top 20 runners in the Heartland Conference, finishing 19th at the Championship meet.

2014:
In her first season with the Dustdevils Chavez placed in the Top 25 at (3) meets. At the UTSA Invitational Chavez finished 14th. In her third career NCAA meet Natalie placed 10th at the TAMUCC Invitational. Chavez finished the season in the Top 15 in the Heratland Conference, placing 14th at the Championship meet.
 
2012-2014: Laredo Community College
Natalie began her collegiate career as a member of the Palominos Volleyball team. She played for (2) season at Laredo Community College in Laredo, Texas. In 2014 the team finished in third place at the NJCAA Region XIV Tournament. She was also a member of the Region XIV All-Academic team. During her time at LCC Chavez earned her Associates Degree in Arts.

High School: United High School (Class of 2012)
During her time at United, Natalie lettered in volleyball and cross country for (3) years, she lettered in basketball and softball for (2) years. In volleyball she was named District 29-5A Honorable Mention in 2010. In 2011 she was named to the District 29-5A All-District First Team. In her Senior season she was named District 29-5A Most Valuable Setter. In her Junior and Senior seasons she was selected to the All-City team. She was a (2) time Individual Region IV Qualifier in 2011 and 2012.
 
Personal:
Natalie is the daughter of Odette and Jorge Chavez. She has four siblings, Phoebe, Chloe, Penny, and Hannah. Chavez chose TAMIU because of its proximity to home and the small, welcoming campus. Her inspiration comes from Jesus and the Apsotle Paul. After TAMIU Natalie wants to work for a professional sports team or in any branch of the military. In her free time she enjoys reading the Bible, writing, photography, and looking for places to travel on the internet.
