2016:
Sanchez will compete as a Senior for the Dustdevils.

2015:
Sanchez started his Junior season with a 12th place finish at the TAMIU Invitational. At the SWTJC Invitational Sanchez earned his first Top 10 finish, with a time of 17:19 he finished 6th. Sanchez recorded a Top 25 finish at the UIW Invitational, finishing 24th for the Dustdevils. Sanchez competed in the Heartland Conference Championships, finishing 58th.

2014:
Sanchez's Sophomore season was highlighted with (2) Top 50 finishes. At the Corpus Christi Islander Splash Hugp finished 31st with a time of 29:18. At the UTSA Invitational Sanchez finshed 32nd with a time of 17:47.

2013:
Hugo competed in his first collegiate season for the Dustdevils.

Personal:
Hugo is the son of Hugo C. Sanchez and Graciela Sanchez. He has one sibling, Ricardo Sanchez.His favorite athlete is Nick Symmonds. His favorite sports team is the New York Yankees. Hugo's favorite book is the "Catcher in the Rye." Sanchez chose TAMIU for its proximity to home and the campus atmosphere. After TAMIU Hugo wants to become a physician's assistant. His favorite quote is "What you habitually think largely determines what you will become." In his spare time Hugo enjoys fishing, reading, sleeping, and traveling.
