2016:
Medina started in 41 games, racking up 42 hits and 21 RBI. Medina posted a .300 average and ranked fourth on the team with 140 at-bats.

Medina began his collegiate career at Odessa College in Odessa, Texas. While he attended Odessa he recieved his associates degree in Criminal Justice.

During his time at El Paso High School Alex played First and Third Base, he lettered for (2) years.
 
Personal:
Alex is the son of Lorenzo and Cindy. He is a brother to Chris Oliva, Nick Oliva, and Eddie Medina.. He came to TAMIU to be a part of “something great”. After TAMIU Alex wants to work for the D.E.A. In his free time Alex enjoys spending time with family and working out.
