Summary

Biography

2017-18:
Milota started in 23 of 24 games during his senior season averaging 10.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 26.8 minutes per game. He saw his shooting numbers dip going 88-of-194 (45.4%) from the field and 32-of-79 (40.5%) from 3-point range. Set a career-high in points, field goals, field goal attempts, free throws, free throw attempts and rebounds against West Coast Baptist College on Dec. 29. He scored 29 points going 10-of-16 from the field and 8-of-11 from the free throw line pulling down eight rebounds. He scored in double-figures in 13 games including stretch of four straight form Nov. 27 to Dec. 3. 

2016-17:
Made 21 starts at forward for the Dustdevils in 2016-17 where he averaged 6.5 points per game on .482 percent shooting. He went 53-for-110 from the field, 20-for-45 from three and 17-for-27 from the charity stripe as a junior. He also had 54 rebounds, 26 assists and six blocks. He scored in double figures six times including a seasons-high 15 against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 22. He had a season-high five rebounds and three assists against Arlington Baptist on Feb. 13.

Milota played basketball for the Trappers as he earned "The Best Trapper Award", was a NJCAA Region IX Champion, earned ecellence in athletics, academics, and leadership, and finished off with a 3.7 GPA. He earned his Associates Degree in General Studies.


High School: Educanet Grammer School (Class of 2013)
Milota played basketball for (8) years as a forward.

Club Basketball: USK Prague
Milota earned an award as the Final (4) MVP for the Czech Republic, (8th) Internationall Camp Greece (2010) Best Five, Silver Medal with the Czech National Team Tallinn (2010), and was a NJCAA Region IX Champion.

Personal: Daniel Milota is the son of Romana and George Milota. He enrolled in TAMIU because it's a school that has numerous international students. He also saw it best fit for him athletically as he believes that TAMIU is the best place to help him reach his personal goals. His most inspirational quote is "Why would take the easy way if there is a harder way to do it?" Milota's future aspirations are to sign a professional contract to play basketball overseas, make his family proud, to become a great student athlete, and more  importantly, developing himself to become a good man. His favorite athletes are Charles Barkley who is a a retired professional basketball player and current analyst for the television program Inside the NBA, and Dennis Rodman who played for the Pistons, Spurs, Bulls, Lakers, and Mavericks in his time in the NBA. In his spare time, Milota enjoys watching TV shows and hanging out with friends.
