Biography

2017-18:
Robinson was one of the top players for the Dustdevils as senior where he played in all 29 games making 15 starts averaging 27.6 minutes of action. He averaged 10.8 points per game shooting 48.3% from the field, 34.7% from 3-point range and 70.7% from the free throw line. Had a team-high 167 rebounds with 60 of those coming on the offensive glass which is the eighth-most in a single season in program history. Reached double figures in 18 games including a career-high 21 points in the Dustdevils’ Heartland Conference opener against St. Mary’s. Recorded two double-doubles with the first coming courtesy of a 19/13 performance against rival Texas A&M-Kingsville and the second came against St. Edward’s. Had a 3-pointer in 20 games including a career-high six straight during one point of the season. His 14 blocks were also a team-high. 

2016-17:
Played in 21 games in 2016-17 logging 136 minutes off the bench for the Dustdevils. He averaged 2.9 points per game on 19-of-47 shooting (.404) and 9-of-25 (.360) from behind the arc. He was efficient at the free throw line making 13 of his 20 attempts. He scored in double figures twice during the season including an 11-point performance against Black Hills State on Nov. 11 in 12 minutes of action. He had a season-high two blocks against Arkansas-Fort Smith on Dec. 17.

High School: Springfield Cental High School (Class of 2013)
Robinson played basketball for (2) years as a forward. During his time with the Golden Eagles, he was a 1,000 point scorer, earned the Basketball Hall of Fame League and Hoop Hall Classic Game MVP along with Massive Dunk of the Year award, and was part of the Division I State Championship Team.

Personal: Kamari Robinson is the son of Laruice Jiggetts and Arthur Robinson and is joined by his siblings Klah Jiggetts, Justin, and Rashaun Robinson. Robinson chose TAMIU because he felt it would be a good place to continue his collegiate career in basketball all while advancing in his education. In addition, they offered good programs that could help him succeed in his education, specifically in Kinesiology. His most inspirational figure is his mother. Robinson's future aspirations are to continue to not only play, but earn a living off of basketball, own a business, and help his community and youth.  In is spare time, Robinson enjoys being artistic by creating and building things.
