2022: 
Villarreal competed in all six events for the Dustdevils. Her best performance came at the OLLU invite where she placed ninth with a time of 24:05.2. At the South Central Regional she placed 130th with a time of 26:09.9. 

High School: 
Villarreal joins TAMIU from United High School. During her time as a Longhorn, Destiny participated in both Cross Country and Track & Field. She was a two-time regional qualifier and a District 6A Champion. 

Personal: 
Villarreal is daughter to Jessica Camacho and sister to Aubrey, Paris, Jose, and Engelbert.
