Christen Mendez is a freshman 2nd baseman / utility player for Texas A&M International University and is currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Christen is the daughter of Eugenio and Christina Mendez and was born on March 2, 2007.

High School:


Christen graduated from William J. Brennan High School in San Antonio, Texas in 2025 and was a three-year varsity letterwinner in softball under head coach Selena Garcia. During her high school career, Mendez earned 29-6A First Team All-District honors in 2024 and was also named to the 29-6A Academic All-District Second Team. A standout in the classroom, she was an A/B Honor Roll student from 2021–25, a member of the National Honor Society from 2022–25, and a participant in the NISD Leadership Summit in 2024, while also receiving the Grit Bear Award. As a junior, Mendez helped lead Brennan to a deep postseason run, highlighted by Bi-District and Regional Semifinal championships and a Regional Finals appearance in 2024—her most memorable high school accomplishment.
