2017-18:
Appeared in 28 games including 13 starts where he averaged 4.2 points and 2.4 points per game in 15.6 minutes per game. The junior transfer shot 63.5% from the field and 62.5% from the free throw line. He had 67 rebounds, 33 of those coming on the offensive glass, 18 assists, eight steals and four blocks. Scored a career-high 16 points including 12 in the second half in the Dustdevils win over Paul Quinn College on Nov. 30 where he went 7-of-10 from the field.
Fouled out nine times during the season including six times in conference play. Had a career-high seven rebounds against Newman on Jan. 13. 

2015-17: Casper College
Appeared in 32 games making 17 starts for Casper College in 2016-17 averaging 8.7 points per game. He went 108-of-199 (54.3%) from the field and 61-of-83 (73.5%) from the charity stripe to go along with 143 rebounds, 17 assists, 12 steals and seven blocks.
 
High School:
Graduated from Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nev. earning 1^st team all-conference honors as a senior. He also played AAU ball with the Las Vegas Prospects.
 
Personal:
Garland is the son of George and Shea Carr and has three siblings: Mashera Johnson, Naudea Carr and Taylor Carr. He chose TAMIU because of the coaching staff. His inspirational figure is his uncle. After graduation, he hopes to secure a contract with a team overseas.
