Gilmore will compete as a Junior for the Dustdevils in the Guard position.
2013-15: Antelope Valley College
Gilmore started his collegiate athletic career playing two years of basketball at Antelope Valley College. While at Antelope Valley College, Gilmore completed his Associates degree, as well as was voted to the All Conference Team, was voted Most Improved player, most inspirational, and was named to the Deans List.
High School: Palmdale High School
In High School, Gilmore lettered in Basketball (4) years. While attending high school, Gilmore was named was voted Most Improved player, most inspirational, and was named to the Deans List.
Club Basketball:
Gilmore was a member of AVAC Hoyas, BCA, Team George, Skywalker club basketball teams.
Personal:
Gilmore is the son of Theresa and Tracey Gilmore. He is a brother to Tracey, Tamard, Tierra and Turan Sanders. He chose TAMIU because he believes TAMIU gives him the best educational opportunities as well as the basketball program seems like a good fit. Sherman’s most inspirational figure is his high school basketball coach. Gilmore’s future aspirations include becoming a physical therapist, investing in real state, and traveling the world. In his spare time, Gilmore likes to spend time with friends, and workout.
