Participated in soccer, field hockey and rounders while excelling in the classroom receiving a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Performance.
 
Personal:
Laura is the daughter of David and Tracy Tonkin and has two siblings, Amy and Daniel. She chose to attend TAMIU because they offered her an opportunity to gain an education while playing the sport she loves. Her mother is the inspirational figure in her life. After graduation, she plans on playing soccer professionally while pursuing a Master’s degree. She spends her free time playing other sports.
