LAREDO, Texas -- Texas A&M International University saw a pair of 20-point performances from seniors Jessica Woo and Stella Ghazarian en route to its third consecutive Heartland Conference victory. The Dustdevils (7-5, 3-1 Heartland) dismantled Oklahoma Christian (3-9, 0-4 Heartland), 82-62, on Saturday at the TAMIU Kinesiology and Convocation Building.
Woo and Ghazarian combined to shoot 14-for-24 from the field, including 8-for-13 from long range, to finish with a game-high 20-point total. Junior guard Keiona Mathews was just a point off their mark, finishing with 19 points, nine assists and six rebounds. Junior guard Jessica Prieto scored 16 points while dishing six assists and pulling in four boards while playing every minute of the game.
Ghazarian also played all 40 minutes.
The Dustdevils built a 21-point lead on the Eagles late in the second half before finalizing the 20-point victory.
The Dustdevils visit Rogers State on Jan. 8 before returning home on Jan. 15 to host St. Edward's.
