CLAREMORE, Oklahoma (October 20, 2016) - The Texas A&M International University Men's Soccer team opened a weekend road trip in Claremore, Oklahoma. The Dustdevils were defeated 1-2 by the HIllcats, moving to 5-9 overall (4-7 HC).
Rogers State would strike first in the first of four road games to end the 2016 regular season. A Hillcat goal in the 11th minute would put TAMIU down by one early.
Ryan Hodgson added to his record-breaking Senior season with a goal in the 31st minute.
Alan Rivera assisted on Hodgson's goal, knotting the game at one.
Neither side would score through the remainder of the first half.
The second half would see a 1-1 draw play out until the 87th minute. The Hillcats added a late goal to take a 2-1 advantage with just 2:48 remaining.
TAMIU was unable to get a shot off before the final whistle sounded, falling 1-2.
Hodgson's goal marked the seventh of his final season. Rivera's assist was his second of the season.
Roberto Molina played all 90 minutes in net, picking up three saves.

Claudio Arias commented after the game, "We keep dominating games, out playing the opponents but we are still paying for the mistakes we are making. We played a great game. We missed too many opportunities and the lapses we had defensively cost us the game."
The Dustdevils will take on Newman on Saturday. Play in Wichita, Kansas is set to begin at 2:30 pm CST.
