LAREDO, Texas (April 9, 2016) - The Texas A&M International University Baseball team finished a three game series with Rogers State University on Saturday. After splitting Friday's doubleheader, the Dustdevils fell 4-7. TAMIU is now 16-20 overall (7-8 HC).
After a scoreless three innings both teams pushed runs across in the fourth. The Hillcats struck first with a run in the top of the inning. The Dustdevils owuld come back and take the lead in the bottom of the fourth.
Ian Acosta drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly, scoring

Jacob Tello would bring home
Alex Medina on an RBI double. RSU took the lead back, scoring five runs in the fifth and sixth, opening a 6-2 lead. Tello drove in his second run of the day on an RBI single, again scoring Medina. The Dustdevils rallied in the ninth,
Abel Aguilar lined an RBI single over short to score
Mario Ramirez. The lead was cut to three before the final out was recorded.
Eduardo Rodriguez got the start for TAMIU, throwing 5.2 innings.
Daniel Edmondo relived Rodriguez in the sixth, tossing one inning.
Nick Perales threw the final 2.1 innings for the Dustdevils, allowing just three hits, striking out two.
The Dustdevils travel to Lubbock Christian for their next Heartland Conference series. TAMIU will take on the Chaparrals twice on Friday, April 15 and once on Saturday. First pitch is set for 3 PM on Friday.
