LAREDO, Texas (September 15, 2016) - The Texas A&M International University Volleyball team opened Heartland Conference play at home on Thursday night. TAMIU fell 0-3 to Dallas Baptist, the Dustdevils are now 0-9 (0-1 HC).
Senior
Alexis Villa recorded 24 assists and 20 digs in the three set loss.
Ramey Gardner led the team with 12 kills, adding 12 digs.
TAMIU fell 20-25, 22-25, and 21-25 in the match. The Dustdevils recorded 34 assists, enough for 37 kills.
Villa and
Victoria Zamora each recorded three aces in the match.
Alejandra Bustamante picked up 16 digs, while
Samantha Gonzalez recorded two blocks.
The Dustdevils are back in action on September 17 as they host St. Edwards and Western New Mexico. Play begins in the TAMIU KCB at 12pm CST.
