THE LAST TIME AROUND
The Dustdevils and Rattlers put on a show combining for seven goals during both teams Heartland Conference opener on Sept. 5 in Laredo with StMU edging TAMIU 4-3 on a goal in the final 10 minutes.

Valeria Macias and Nicole Cohen both registered their first career goals in the loss while Cio Bargallo tied the match in the 52nd minute on long range shot sending the crowd into a frenzy. A LOOK AT THE RATTLERS

Senior defender Heather Dawson is the leading goal scorer for the Rattlers with five but the Waco, Texas native has been held without a goal since scoring two against Eastern New Mexico on Sept. 10. Rachel Gurinsky and Roxy Cruz Santory rank second on the team in goals (2), assists (2) and points (6) while Gurinksy has has a team-high 19 shots, eight of those on-target. Kaitlyn Judge has a team-high three assists, two of those coming in back-to-back matches to start the season.

Three different goalkeepers have seen playing time for the Rattlers in 2017 as Erin Longforad has started the last five matches after Caitlin McCarrell was the starter for the first six matches. BARGALLO IN THE RANKINGS
Cio Bargallo still ranks second in the nation and first in the Heartland Conference in total goals while ranking fifth in goals per game (1.1) and sixth in total points (22). The sophomore forward also leads the conference in total shots (43), shots per game (4.30) and second in game-winning goals with two.

RECORD BREAKERS
Bargallo has the opportunity to break another school record this weekend against St. Mary's as her 23 shots on goal this season are four short of tying Mary Smith (2003) and Stephanie Webb's (2007) record of 27. She enters the weekend averaging 2.3 shots on goal per game and had three the last time the two schools faced off in September.

The Blanes, Spain native needs one goal to match Erika Alcaraz's single season record of 12 while her 22 total points are three points short of Alcaraz's record of 25. Monica Castrohas the chance to move up the record books as well as the sophomore's four assists are the seventh most in a single season in TAMIU history. With an assist against the Rattlers, the Dallas, Texas native will become the sixth player to have five or more assists in a season.

LOOKING TO BREAK THE STREAK
Historically, the Dustdevils have struggled on the road going 22-106-8 since 2002 with just one season with a .500 record or better away from Dustdevil Soccer Field. TAMIU has gone 0-14-2 in their last 16 away matches with the last coming against a national-ranked St. Edwar'ds team in Austin on Oct. 29, 2015. Goals have come at premium during that stretches as well as the Dustdevils are currently in a scoreless streak over 700 minutes in road matches.
