LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International women's soccer (1-1-0) will take on non-conference opponent, Ouachita Baptist (1-2-0) on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m.
In the 2018 season, the Dustdevils faced a 3-1 setback against the Tigers however the Dustdevils hold a 3-2-0 record against Ouachita Baptist dating back to 2010.
TAMIU hopes to rebound from a tough 1-0 loss to St. Mary's. The Dustdevils gave up the lone goal of the game in the fifth minute of play but played strong defensively the final 85 minutes.
In their first two games of the season, the Tigers dropped a 2-1 decision to Northeastern State University and took a 1-0 victory over UT Tyler. Ashlyn Heckman has proven to be an offensive threat for the Tigers as she recorded both goals this season including a penalty shot in the 95th minute to secure their first win.
